But by the early 2000s, people in the U.S. were more interested in cultures beyond Europe. 媒体 brings us live coverage from anywhere in the world; thanks to digital technology, we can literally work from anywhere. 这一代人对全球音乐和美食更感兴趣. We have pushed out of our comfort zones.

And being uncomfortable is part of the experience?

我们正在与 the Interfaith Sanctuary to bring back some cultural programs. We held Diwali last fall; it was a mix of international students and Americans.
